| There
are now two anniversaries celebrated every year. The Glen Ellyn
Brewing Company brews its famous rooftop Smoked Porter in honor
of the fire every June 26, and celebrates its reopening every
July 31.
GEBC's
dedication to premium quality food, beer, and service has
resulted in the microbrewery receiving many accolades, some
of which include being voted #1 by its peers at the 1999 Brew
Pub Shootout, a four-star rating from the Naperville Sun,
and "Best Brewpub" by Chicago magazine.
The
Glen Ellyn Brewing Company always features six of head brewer
Mike Engelke's finest hand-crafted beers on tap, as well as
its freshly brewed root beer, cream soda, and a weekly specialty
soda. The menu is best described as American Grille, with
highlights being fine steaks, fresh seafood, unique sandwiches,
and a large assortment of appetizers, topped off by a sinful
dessert menu. Our chefs prepares three or four fabulous nightly
specialties, which are a perfect complement to the menu and
daily beer selection. The atmosphere is upscale, yet casual
and friendly. The hardwood floors and soft décor create
the perfect "Glen Ellyn setting."

GEBC
is famous for its special events, which occur monthly and
range from Crab Feasts and Cigar Smokers to Mother's Day Brunch
and Super Bowl Parties. The chalkboards are always updated
with upcoming events, and servers will happily provide details.
In
summary, the Glen Ellyn Brewing Company set out to become
"Glen Ellyn's hometown restaurant." That goal having
been accomplished, GEBC continues to focus on maintaining
its high level of service, premium quality of food and beers.
